Collin College Electronic Engineering Technology Program and Dean of Academic Affairs and Workforce Programs Receive 2026 Tech Titans Award

The Electronic Engineering Technology program at Collin College has received recognition from Tech Titans, a regional technology association. The organization presented the Tech Titans of the Future - College/University Award to both the program and Tripat Baweja, who serves as the Dean of Academic Affairs and Workforce Programs at the Technical Campus. This award highlights the program's role in preparing students for careers in a rapidly evolving technical field.

The Electronic Engineering Technology program currently serves more than 160 students. It offers stackable credentials, dual credit opportunities, and hands-on training that aligns with industry demands. Students can earn certificates and associate degrees that build on one another, allowing them to enter the workforce or continue their education at their own pace. The program's partnerships with local employers help ensure that graduates possess the skills needed for positions in electronics, automation, and advanced manufacturing.

Baweja was recognized for her leadership in developing and expanding the program. Her work has focused on strengthening ties between the college and technology companies, securing equipment and resources, and guiding curriculum updates that reflect current industry standards. Under her direction, the program has grown its enrollment and improved student outcomes.

Tech Titans presents these awards annually to honor institutions and individuals who make significant contributions to technology education and workforce development in the region. The recognition underscores Collin College's commitment to providing practical, accessible training that supports both students and the local economy.
