HAMMOND and WESTVILLE, Ind. — Purdue University Northwest’s College of Technology has been awarded the prestigious 2024 Academia Circle of Excellence Award from the International Council of Electronic Commerce Consultants (EC-Council). This recognition highlights the institution's commitment to high-quality education in the field of cybersecurity, effectively preparing students and professionals for careers in this critical workforce.
Since partnering with the EC-Council in 2019, PNW has integrated two of the council’s accredited certifications into its curriculum: Certified Ethical Hacker and Computer Hacking Forensic Investigator. This initiative aims to equip students with the essential skills and knowledge required to navigate the complexities of cybersecurity.
The program has proven beneficial for a diverse group of working professionals, including military personnel, law enforcement officers, and first responders, who have successfully completed PNW’s Cybersecurity Workforce Certification Training.
