Stitch Fix names former Sephora, Ipsy executive as chief product and technology officer

Stitch Fix is bolstering its executive ranks with the appointment of Sree Sreedhararaj as its new chief product and technology officer. Sreedhararaj brings deep experience from the beauty and subscription retail sectors, having previously held senior roles at Sephora and Ipsy. At Sephora, she led product and engineering teams, and at Ipsy, she served as chief product officer, overseeing the technology behind the personalized beauty box service.

In her new role at Stitch Fix, Sreedhararaj will oversee the company's product strategy, engineering, and data science teams. She will be responsible for refining the algorithms and personalization tools that drive the company's clothing subscription model. The move comes as Stitch Fix works to improve its financial performance and customer retention in a competitive online apparel market. CEO Matt Baer stated that Sreedhararaj's expertise in building consumer-focused technology platforms will be critical as the company evolves its service. The appointment signals a continued focus on using data and personalization to differentiate Stitch Fix from traditional e-commerce retailers. Sreedhararaj is expected to start immediately and report directly to the CEO.
