Penn State is inviting students to join a key committee that directly influences the university's technological landscape. The Student Technology Advisory Representatives (STAR) group is now seeking new members for the upcoming term.
Sponsored by Teaching and Learning with Technology, the STAR committee serves as a vital bridge between the student body and university administration. Its mission is to incorporate student perspectives into the decisions that shape the digital tools and services used across the institution. The group provides a unique platform for students to voice their needs, concerns, and ideas regarding the technology that supports their academic journey and campus life.
The committee values diverse representation, actively recruiting members from University Park, the Commonwealth Campuses, and the Penn State World Campus. This ensures that the voices of all students, regardless of location or mode of study, are heard. Members gain hands-on experience in IT governance, collaborate with university leaders, and play a concrete role in enhancing the student experience through improved technology initiatives. Applications are currently open for students interested in contributing to this impactful advisory role.
