The Department of Public Safety (DPS) has initiated a pilot program to evaluate the effectiveness of license plate reader (LPR) technology on campus. This innovative approach aims to bolster safety measures and enhance the overall security environment for students, faculty, and staff.
The LPR technology will allow law enforcement to monitor and analyze vehicle activity more efficiently, potentially aiding in the prevention of crime and the swift identification of suspicious vehicles.
