Smart Robotics, a Netherlands-based technology firm specializing in artificial intelligence-driven robotic solutions for intralogistics, has successfully closed a €10 million Series A funding round. The investment was led by Rotterdamse Havendraken, Innovation Industries, and the Dutch family office Ernij Next. The company, headquartered in Best, develops advanced robotic pick-and-place systems designed to automate complex material handling tasks in warehouses and distribution centers.
The newly secured capital will be deployed to accelerate the company’s expansion across the European market. Key areas of focus include strengthening commercial operations, scaling the deployment of its robotic systems, and further advancing the core AI technology that powers its pick-and-place solutions. These systems are engineered to handle a wide variety of items with speed and precision, reducing reliance on manual labor in high-demand logistics environments.
Smart Robotics’ technology leverages computer vision and machine learning to enable robots to identify, grasp, and place objects of varying shapes, sizes, and weights without pre-programming. This adaptability is critical for modern intralogistics operations, where product variability and throughput demands are constantly increasing. The funding round signals strong investor confidence in the company’s ability to address labor shortages and efficiency gaps in the European logistics sector.
With this financial backing, Smart Robotics aims to solidify its position as a key player in the industrial automation space, bringing intelligent, flexible automation to warehouses and fulfillment centers across the continent.
