Do you spend your weekends building custom PCs, tweaking BIOS settings, or comparing SSD benchmarks? Do you get excited about the latest CPU architecture or the quirks of a new GPU driver? If so, we might have the perfect job for you.
We are looking for a senior technology reporter to join our team. This is not a generalist role. We want someone who lives and breathes the nuts and bolts of consumer and enthusiast hardware. Desktops, laptops, phones, CPUs, GPUs, NAS devices, motherboards, cooling solutions, monitors, storage-if it plugs in or runs on a chip, you should know it well.
The ideal candidate can explain why a new processor matters beyond just clock speeds. You should be able to test a laptop's thermal performance, spot a misleading spec sheet, and write clearly about what it all means for real people. You will cover product launches, review hardware, and dig into industry trends. You might also break news about supply chains, pricing shifts, or unexpected design choices.
This is a senior position, so we expect strong writing skills, a track record of accurate reporting, and the ability to work independently. You should be comfortable with deadlines and ready to pitch your own stories. Experience with video or podcasting is a plus, but not required.
If this sounds like you, we want to hear from you. Send a resume, a few writing samples, and a note about why you are the right person for this job. We are excited to find someone who loves this stuff as much as we do.
